Robots for the first lunar base
Team
Two founders, a third seat open: aerospace engineering, the flight system.
Terranova is being built by two founders in Munich.
| Role | Name | Background |
|---|---|---|
| Strategy Lead | Enrico Böker | Strategy, funding, company building, operations simulation |
| Tech Lead | Florian Rothmeyer | Mechatronics, communications, swarm intelligence, logistics, research project management |
| Aerospace Lead (aerospace engineering) | open | Flight system, qualification, lander interface, agencies |
The third seat
We are looking for a third founder from aerospace engineering. As three we are two technical minds and one for strategy: the Tech Lead builds the robot, the Aerospace Lead makes it flight ready, the Strategy Lead brings money, customers and programmes.
The job is the flight system. What works on the test rig has to survive launch, landing, vacuum, cold and radiation, and be accepted by an agency and a lander operator. That means systems engineering to space standards, thermal and structural design for the flight environment, qualification and test campaigns, the lander interface, and the technical side of conversations with ESA, DLR, NASA and the lander companies.
The right person is among the best in the field: has worked on space hardware that has flown or is going to fly, and understands a flight system from the load specification to acceptance. Design, mechatronics and swarm control sit with the Tech Lead; this seat carries the vehicle from the lab into flight.
Living in Munich will be necessary in the medium term, because that is where the team, the prototype and the test rigs come together. This is a founder seat with equity, not a job.
If that is you: get in touch.
